The luxury Fairmont Hotel is one of the many hotels in USA’s capital that were renovated in anticipation of January’s inauguration. The 413 room hotel underwent a $27 million two-part renovation. Phase one of the refurbishment involved re-doing all the guest rooms including those on the Fairmont Gold Floor. The executive forum amphitheater was converted into the 2,900 square-foot Kennedy Ballroom. The room can accommodate 300 people. New York-based Wimberly Interiors was in charge of the renovation. Guestrooms no longer have typical desks. Instead, the king-bedded rooms have a chaise and a round table that doubles as a dining spot or a flexible working space. There are now seven specialty suites rather than five.
The hotel has an upgraded high speed internet system.Rooms on the Gold Floor have a built-in luggage bench, tea station and 49-inch television set. Marble bathrooms feature large walk-in showers and expansive vanities.
Take a look into this amazing hotel lobby design. It’s one of the most beautiful and interesting that we have ever seen.
But fell in love with a piece in particular. In between of so many amazing pieces of furniture present in this lobby, there’s the Heritage Dining Table designed by Boca do Lobo.
The Heritage Dining Table, much like its sibling Heritage Sideboard and Cabinet, is a highly sophisticated piece inspired by Portuguese history through the use of traditional hand painted azulejo tiles.
Its noble design features bold lines, with alternating polished brass, bevelled mirror and azulejo strips and a tempered glass top, which reflect your dining room’s finest elements, yet adding a touch of warmth and finesse.
The Heritage table was designed by Boca do Lobo. Thier furniture is an exclusive emotional experience, a sense of belonging and a state of mind. We strive to encourage sensational experiences by creating beautiful pieces which are passionately inspired and handcrafted in Portugal by a staff that loves what they do. The designers possess an undeniable talent for composing pieces which stir emotion in their admirers. Their artisan’s wisdom, accumulated from years of experience, are instilled with love and dedication in the art that they perform. No detail or element is overlooked as we offer the best at the frontier between design and art. Each piece will bring you on a journey to sources of pleasure you may have forgotten, and take you to places you have never been before.
Now if you take a closer look to the table from Fairmont Hotel, you can understand how the drawings are very different. Instead of representing the history of Portugal, since the table is in an hotel in Washington D.C., the drawings represent the story of United States of America. We believe this is the beauty of this table, you can adapt it to the place where it will belong.
Now you can take a look into some other perspective of this very luxurious hotel. Amazing lobby design.
If you pass in Washington D.C. don’t forget to pass in this luxury hotel interior, get inspired by its interior design work and take a close look at the Heritage Dining Table of course.
