Michael began experimenting with splatter and started fascinating about its textures and forms, revealing the beauty that emerges from randomness and chaos.
After some prototypes through sketching and shaping the splatter metal, he began working in his “After The Storm” collection. His main focus was on vases and bowls for a modern interior art decor.
His creations come from a very simple process, but a very carefully thought out at the same time. After heating up metal until it molten to a liquid stage, it is poured to the revolving armature in order to give its shape.
After the first steps of shaping it to form, it begins a delicate process of clean the sharp points and leveling the piece so that it sits flat.
