And the winner is…
This purple with pink undertones is markedly different from the jewel tone Emerald that ruled in 2013, but don’t be fooled: Radiant Orchid is still a royal color. Purple has long been associated with royalty, power, luxury and creativity.
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone Color Institute, explained how “creativity and originality will encourage” professionals to use this color trend in different areas, and it “isn’t just for the female of the species – the hue radiates on the skin, producing a healthy glow when worn by both men and women” but also described the choice for 2014 as “a color that encourages us to innovate”.
Radiant Orchid will easily work with a all of the most popular neutrals including grey, white, beige, black, ivory and taupe.
But if you appreciate more contrast and bolder design, try pairing Radiant Orchid with turquoise, teal, deep greens, and complimentary yellows.
Radiant Radiant Orchid ir a great color either to add some serenity to your space or a little bit bold feeling – are you feeling adventurous?
